Genova

Genoa was a nice place to slow down a bit. We spent half a day at the marina and the aquarium (the world’s second largest) and ate great pesto. This was also our first exposure to the world of crazed soccer fans. Genoa won it’s final game of the season, meaning next season they’d move up to second league, versus third. I know it doesn’t sound like much of a reason for celebration but around here it was important enough for a million person city to be deserted and then take to the streets in a mad frenzy afterward.
